Attending the Summer School in Kuala Lumpur was a transformative experience, particularly as it marked Mozambique's first participation in the Global Health Bioethics Network (GHBN). Mozambique, an African Portuguese-speaking country, was represented for the first time in such an event, making this experience all the more significant. The diversity of perspectives—both in culture and academic thought—enriched the learning environment. The opportunity to represent my country and engage with other professionals in public health and technology was deeply rewarding. The session I found most compelling was on "Emerging Technologies and AI." It highlighted the profound ethical considerations that come with rapid technological advancements, making me rethink how ethics must evolve alongside these innovations. Beyond the presentations, the Summer School offered an excellent opportunity for networking. I made valuable connections with professionals from around the world. Sharing ideas with peers from diverse backgrounds broadened my perspective on global health challenges and solutions and reinforced the importance of international collaboration. I left with a deeper appreciation for the ethical considerations that must guide technological advancements, ensuring that innovations are used responsibly and equitably to benefit all communities.
