Its been almost a month since my first entry - has it been that long wow! time flies! My first Interim Ethics Committee meeting was two weeks ago!! yes, things have started moving forward, all my aspirations and visions for the Ethics Committee and my Research Section was endorsed YUS!
Currently working on the Operational Guidelines for the new Ethics Committee, almost done! The Interim Committee was to provide input and ideas for the Operational Guidelines and to review our outdated Terms of Reference which I am hoping the Operational Guideline will replace. I am pretty much excited - can you feel it! haha
In addition, I am currently thinking of what to draft up for a health research policy - after consulting with the National Research Officer I was quite disappointed, but Hey I cannot let that get me down.Hopefully my health research policy would be drafted and endorsed half-way through the year - I feel like I am working really slow - This section is afterall just a one-man team #sigh. Just submitted my budget proposal and objectives for my Research section and I am hoping I will get some funding - if not, THATS FINE! I actually can get by - (but really) Anyway if someone has some input for me, please dont hesitate to give me a good ol' BUZZ!! Malo and take care.

I'm delighted to hear that your aspirations and visions have been endorsed! As to how everyone here can help - are there any drafts of the terms of reference or operational guidelines that you'd like to post for comment? What kind of input would you like for your health research policy? Bw Susi
