The United States National Institutes of Health is an important funder of genomic research internationally, through initiatives such as H3Africa and others. The NIH is currently revising their 2008 policy for NIH-funded genome-wide association studies (GWAS) studies. A draft policy is currently available for public comment until 20 November 2013 (see http://gds.nih.gov/ for details). We encourage you to comment on these important guidelines which have implications for NIH funded genomic research around the world.
