The Brocher Foundation offers to researchers the opportunity to organize a one and a half day multidisciplinary symposium or a two, three or four day multidisciplinary workshop on the ethical, legal and social implications on humankind of recent medical research and new medical technologies. These symposia and workshops are the perfect occasion to take advantage of a uniquely located Conference room on the shores of Lake Geneva and to invite experts from the numerous international organizations and non-governmental organizations based in the area (WHO, UNAIDS, WIPO, WTO, ILO, WMA, ICRC, MSF, etc.) THE BROCHER SYMPOSIA The Brocher Foundation is inviting junior and senior researchers to submit proposals for a 1.5 day multidisciplinary symposium project on the ethical, legal and social implications of new medical developments. The Brocher Foundation will host and support the costs of the event between February and April or between July and October 2015. The fully equipped Brocher Centre Conference room - situated in Hermance, 15 kilometers from Geneva, can welcome up to 60 participants in its exceptional location on the shores of Lake Geneva. The Brocher Foundation will arrange all the logistics according to its standard. THE BROCHER WORKSHOPS The Brocher Foundation is inviting junior and senior researchers to submit proposals for a 2 to 4 day multidisciplinary workshop project on the ethical, legal and social implications of new medical developments. The Brocher Foundation will host and support the cost of the event between 4th May and 28th June 2015 or between 3th November 2015 and 31th January 2016 at the Brocher Centre The Brocher Foundation will organize all the logistics according to its standards. TOPICS FOR THE YEAR 2015 Ethical, Legal & Social Implications of recent medical research and new medical technologies: Among the following disciplines Bioethics, Medical Anthropology, Health Economics, Health Policy, Health Law, Philosophy of Medicine and Health, Medical Humanities, Social Science perspectives on Health, Telemedicine, Medical Ethics, History of medicine.
