About: Professor (PhD). Molecular Medical Microbiology. Gemeda is Molecular Medical Microbiologist currently working at the Mycobacteriology Research Center, Jimma University. He does research in Immunology, Molecular Biology and Microbiology of infectious diseases. His current projects are 'Tuberculosis Diagnostic Challenges in Ethiopia, Culture-free diagnosis and follow-up of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis patients in Africa and Improved infectious diseases research and surveillance in Ethiopia through capacity building in bioinformatics and sequencing.'
