About: Guewo Fokeng Magellan completed a Bachelor of Science (option Microbiology and Molecular genetic). He then obtained a Master of Science Degree (option Biotechnology and Development, Molecular Biology) with Distinction, under the supervision of Professor Mbanya Jean Claude and completed his PhD (option Biotechnology and Development, Genetic andMolecular Biology) with Distinction in 2018 under the supervision of Professor Mbacham Fon Wilfred, all in Biochemistry from the University of Yaounde I in Cameroon. His research interests are in molecular epidemiology of non-communicable diseases especially diabetes and their impact on the health care system of developing countries. His motivation is to make a positive impact on healthcare by producing data, contribute to the setting up and develop tools that can be used as markers for the personalization of the medicine in the fight against the diseases mentioned above.
